About me
I am excited to be attending my first ATNS conference! I opened my own solo practice in May of 2025, working primarily with chronic pain, but also a fair amount of Functional Neurological Disorder. _____________________________________________________________ Neuroplastic symptom recovery is not just professional, but personal. I had a spinal fusion at the age of 24, but it wasn't until going through PRT certification that I was able to free myself from my chronic back pain and leg numbness. ______________________________________________________________ A bit more background... My first career as a professional contemporary ballet dancer took me to NYC right after graduating high school (North Carolina School of the Arts). I had already experienced chronic back pain and leg numbness from the time I was 13. I eventually earned undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Kinesiology, having a desire to learn about both the mind and the body. I then earned my MD, but ultimately decided to pursue a master's degree and licensure as a mental health therapist. I learned about PRT and went through the certification course in the Fall of 2022 within a few months of being provisionally licensed as a therapist. I've devoted my practice to working with Neuroplastic Symptoms ever since!
