About me
Dr. Cheryl Lane is a psychotherapist and health coach based in Portland, OR. She
specializes in the treatment of chronic neuroplastic symptoms using PRT, EAET, and
other evidence-based approaches. Her fascination with understanding the human
psyche and a passion for helping others led to a career in the mental health field.
Cheryl has worked in a variety of clinical settings spanning nearly 25 years. These
include private practice, hospital emergency rooms and psychiatric units, community
mental health, domestic violence intervention, and a college counseling center. In
addition to her individual work with clients, Cheryl has over 5000 hours of experience
leading psychoeducation and therapy groups.
Cheryl strives to create an emotionally safe therapeutic relationship with clients using
empathy, compassion, highly attuned listening, and a touch of playfulness and gentle
humor. A native Oregonian and former professional vocalist, she enjoys spending time
in nature, spoiling her pets, reading, creating art, and concocting anything that involves
chocolate.
