About me
Like he has many of the things that truly make a difference in the health of those he strives to serve, Chris learned about neuroplastic symptoms late in his career, but is trying to make up for lost time. Chris received his BS and MD from the Pennsylvania State University.
After graduating from the York Hospital Family Medicine Residency, his career has been focused on working with those who have been made vulnerable and historically marginalized. As WellSpan Health’s Medical Director of Vulnerable Populations he helps lead efforts in southcentral Pennsylvania and northern Maryland that include opioid safety, addiction, chronic pain, care of patients with medical and social complexities, and health equity. He helped WellSpan replicate a transdisciplinary pain care program where he first learned of neuroplastic symptoms and evidenced—based treatments to relieve suffering.
He is the physician leader for WellSpan’s partnership with Lin Health, to whom over 3,500 referrals have been made since 2025 from not only 65+ primary care practices, but cardiology, neurology, rheumatology, orthopedic, interventional pain, palliative care and ENT as well. With a talented group of data analysts, Chris is helping track total cost of care for those receiving neuroplastic treatment at WellSpan so it can be compared to those receiving “usual care”.
