essica Holzer, LMFT, RPT‑S, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and founder of Connected Care Family Counseling. She specializes in attachment‑based, play, and art therapy approaches, supporting children and families in building emotional connection, resilience, and secure relationships. Jessica earned her Bachelor’s degree from UC San Diego and her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University. During her graduate studies, she expanded her clinical lens through international training experiences in India, Cambodia, and Mexico, and contributed to research on the impact of trauma on relationships and end‑of‑life experiences. As a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor and AAMFT Approved Supervisor, Jessica is dedicated to both clinical excellence and the professional growth of emerging therapists. Jessica also serves as an Adjunct and Associate Faculty member in several MFT graduate programs, where she teaches and mentors future therapists. Jessica is the co‑author of The Chronic Pain Playbook: An Attachment and Play‑Based Clinician’s Guide to Working with Children and Adolescents and co‑founder of Nurturing Playful Minds, an organization focused on supporting children and families navigating chronic pain, with Jamie Shafir, LCSW.
