Joel Roberts is a former prime time talk show host on KABC Radio, Los Angeles, the radio capital of the world. Prior to KABC, he hosted The Best of Health Radio Program, a syndicated forum featuring medical luminaries of every stripe, from Surgeons General to Deepak Chopra, Bernie Siegel, and others.
After leaving talk radio, Joel was sought out by the pharmaceutical industry. At Novartis, he was the lead communications consultant for Gleevec, the world’s first targeted chemotherapy. At Pfizer, he and his partner, Heidi Roberts, coached the Lipitor team and C-suite executives. At Eli Lilly, Joel and Heidi trained psychiatrists and persons with mental illness to better advocate their cause before state and federal formulary committees. Joel is a “translator.” His expertise is in teaching clients “to speak unconventional paradigms to conventional ones.” He is passionate about ATNS’s mission and has coached Drs. David Clarke and Howard Schubiner.
